This means that ticks found on the body will survive in bathtubs, swimming pools and showers if on an individual. WebTicks can last a very long time underwater in normal conditions. It takes very little air to sustain them while attached and feeding, and worse, tiny little pockets of air will generally form around their mouth and head parts are embedded into the skin. This is due to surface tension in the water.
